With US Out of World Cup, Co-worker Inexplicably Becomes Brazil Fan

Nuremburg, Germany – Despite the United States being eliminated from competition at the World Cup, marketing intern Drew Callahan still cares about it for some reason.

The US lost 2-1 to Ghana on Thursday, and failed to advance out of the first round.

"The last couple weeks, Drew was all, 'the US team this,' and 'Landon Donovan that.' I didn't care - it just seemed easier to humor him," said data entry specialist Tim Forrester.

"But I thought it would end once the US was out of the World Cup," added Forrester. "Now he's all 'Brazil this,' and 'Ronaldinho that.' He's not Brazilian. It's just weird."

Forrester was not the only person confused by Callahan's continued interest.

"When the US played, he came in wearing a big floppy, red white and blue hat, I thought, 'okay, cool. He's supporting the team,'" said receptionist Jennifer Mitchell.

"But then he comes in yesterday, and he's got a miniature Brazilian flag painted on his cheek. What's up with that?"

Brad and Angelina Sell Baby to Raise Money for Orphans

NEW YORK -- Just days after the birth of their first child, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold their baby to raise money for orphans, according to reports.

The stars' publicist has confirmed reports that Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, who was born May 27 in Namibia, was sold at a silent auction in London late last week. The auction proceeds will be donated to non-profit groups in Namibia and Cambodia.

"Brad and Angelina were truly, truly touched by the orphans they met in their travels," said Cindy-Jo Kranfeld.

"They had been thinking of ways to raise awareness and money for this cause, and then they realized they had been given the perfect opportunity" in Shiloh Nouvel, added Kranfeld.

The winning bid and the identity of the bidder were not disclosed, though experts estimated the value of the celebrity baby in the "low seven figures."
